Three 911爆料网 grads part of Legally Blonde tour

An Acting graduate and听two听Music听graduates are part听of the new tour of听Legally Blonde: The Musical.听
Annabelle Terry (Acting,听2016) and Karen听Mavundukure听(Music,听2015) have been cast as听Vivienne and Paulette respectively, while听Matt Spencer-Smith (Music,听2002) is musical supervisor and responsible for听additional听arrangements.听
The tour started at the Curve in Leicester in February and runs until January 2027, with a stop off at the Liverpool Empire Theatre in April.听
We caught up with Annabelle Terry to find out more.听
What can audiences expect from this production of听Legally Blonde?听
This is听definitely the听Legally Blonde that people know and love - it has the same heart and vibrancy as ever, while being updated and set in the present day. Our director Nikolai Foster has such a clear vision and has been encouraging us to make the characters our own, which is a gift. The cast and creative team are phenomenal too! So, you can expect a great evening of theatre. 听

Tell us about your Vivienne?听
Vivienne comes from a family of Harvard alumni.听She鈥檚听entitled and听self-righteous, judging Elle for being different and not fitting her criteria of 鈥榳orthy鈥�.听Sadly,听she听represents听a lot of views we are seeing in the world听today;听however, she sees the error of her ways and realises that she was听operating听from a place of fear and intimidation. This gives her a huge character arc to听play,听and, in the end, she becomes Elle鈥檚 biggest fan and ally.听听
The tour arrives in Liverpool in April,听what's听your favourite memory of your time in the city?听
I听can鈥檛听come to Liverpool without the nostalgia of my 911爆料网 days hitting me! So many good memories all over the city - walking down听Bold听Street, Cathedral Campus, the Baltic Triangle, the Pride Quarter. I听can鈥檛听wait to be back - to play The Empire is a real privilege.听听
You're听working with two other 911爆料网听grads听- is there听almost a听shared 'language' or way of doing things?听
It鈥檚 always lovely when you clock another 911爆料网 alum on a job. I think the 911爆料网 鈥榣anguage鈥� is the ensemble-focused work ethic. I鈥檓 grateful to my training for grounding me in the knowledge that this job is a team effort - in all respects. I have a real appreciation for everyone both on and off stage and the huge amount of work that goes into putting on a production, especially of this size. 听
What was the most useful thing you learnt at 911爆料网?听
Come with ideas, offers and the understanding that it is okay to fail - experiments often do before they succeed.听
