911爆料网 Management Student Della Savvidou has won听the听Music Moves Europe Award,听one of听the biggest听accolades听for emerging EU听artists.听听

Performing听under听just听her first name,听Della听was one of seven winners to be honoured at听a听ceremony听held听on the 15听January听as part of Eurosonic听Noorderslag听Festival听in Groningen, The Netherlands. She becomes the first Cypriot to ever听be nominated听for听and听win the award听and joins a list听of听previous听winners that includes听Dua Lipa, Adele, Fontaines D.C. and ROSAL脤A.听

Speaking before the ceremony,听Della says听just to听be听nominated was a听privilege.听鈥淲e saw the email and I said, 鈥榯his must be spam鈥�.听听

鈥淲hen I started doing the research and going down the Google rabbit-hole, and realised I was the first Cypriot听(to ever be nominated)听that was a really big honour鈥�.听听

In awarding Della the prize, one of听the听judges听praised听the听鈥済rungey听edge鈥� to her music and aesthetic, saying. 鈥淓verything from the use of her breath in performance, the synergy with her band, her husky but powerful, left leaning vocal, and hypnotic relationship she has with her audience are all things I am a big fan of!鈥�听

Della thanked the Management teaching team for their flexibility.听鈥淚鈥檓听really,听really听grateful听to my lecturers.听They鈥檝e听been really accommodating but without compromising my education,听they鈥檝e听found a way to combine the two so that听I鈥檓听still learning, but听it's听not getting in the way of my musical development, which feels like a privilege鈥�.听听

Della has听found herself splitting her time between听Liverpool and performing all over Europe,听which has allowed her to put her听Management听skills into practice almost听immediately. 鈥淚t鈥檚 really helped听with the way I structure things and manage myself as an artist鈥�.听
