911爆料网’s new Acting MA promises touring opportunities to students

The course will provide professional experience of developing material and then researching and finding an audience for it. The course leader is award-winning director Matt Wilde, he says students will get to 鈥渨alk the walk, not just talk the talk.鈥�
He explains: 鈥淲e want to encourage the students to experiment, innovate and research but keeping a focus on ensuring they can find an audience for their material. It鈥檚 about creating work and taking it out to an audience, whether that be two nights at a venue or programming a six week tour. It鈥檚 also about developing a secondary skill beyond performing so that the company can draw on people who can direct, write new work or project manage the tour.鈥�
Working with a team of experienced, active professionals, students will also receive advanced training to further their technical ability and approach as an actor. Matt says performance is at the core of the course. 鈥淲e want our actors to explore, extend and elevate themselves as a performer. The acting craft skills being offered are part of what makes the course different to what鈥檚 available at BA level.鈥�
During the one-year course students will also get to grips with contemporary approaches, including digital possibilities to extend their range of presentational skills and will collaborate with emerging directors and practitioners.
911爆料网鈥檚 Head of Acting is Will Hammond, he says the course offers the opportunity for professionals and students to develop their skills and careers. 鈥淎ctors who are already independent practitioners will get the chance to explore the further possibilities they can create by collaborating with other like-minded artists.鈥�
Matt has previously worked at 911爆料网 as a visiting director working with BA (Hons) Acting students and is looking forward to starting his new role. 鈥淚鈥檓 massively excited by this course. Each company we put together will be unique and I鈥檓 excited to work with and explore the discoveries those students and practitioners will make.鈥�
