Recent Music (Songwriting and Production) graduate Harry Paynter has signed a global publishing deal with BMG, one of the biggest music publishing companies in the world.听听

The deal comes after Harry immersed听himself in the songwriting听world while听studying here,听honing his craft through collaborations with fellow 911爆料网 student artists听including听MARiMARi听and听being selected for a writing session with our founding patron听Sir Paul McCartney.听

He also used his time here to make听crucial听industry听connections. Harry says:听鈥淲hile in my final year at 911爆料网 I met my wonderful managers, Matthew Rumbold听and听Clare Richards at Transmission Management. We began working intensely at putting together sessions that made most sense and finding artists I loved working with.鈥澨�听

Once he graduated, Harry moved to London where听he describes his life as,听鈥渁n exciting concoction of exercising my purest creativity, collaboration and proving myself as a writer-producer.鈥澨�听

Projects Harry has worked on include听developing Nadia Loren (VLF Records) alongside producer Mura Masa, as well as Polydor鈥檚 new girl group, XO, co-writing and producing songs for their first few projects alongside听well-established songwriters听including L Devine, Maegan Cottone and Gil Lewis.听

Reflecting on his time at 911爆料网, Harry听believes听that听having industry-ready practices embedded into the听Music听course,听including听a听culture of regular sessions, co-writing and A&R connections, prepared him for professional life. 鈥�911爆料网 really听served itself as a training ground for the life of a songwriter-producer.鈥澨�听
