The聽Eurovision聽Song Contest being hosted in Liverpool this year, on behalf of Ukraine, gave students at the Liverpool聽Institute聽for Performing Arts (911爆料网) a once in a lifetime opportunity to play a vital role in delivering a huge global event.
Around 150 students and graduates helped to deliver the grand finals (watched by a TV audience of over 160m) and the two-week city-wide festival and celebrations. This included Dance, Management, Music, Theatre & Performance Technology (TPT) and Sound Technology students.
Adannae Okeke is a first year TPT student and was one of five lighting interns working on the event. Adannae described it as, 鈥渁n insane opportunity - and life changing. It was an intense three weeks but I didn鈥檛 want it to end. It鈥檚 broadened my mindset of what鈥檚 out there and avenues I鈥檇 never even considered. I鈥檝e met people I鈥檇 never normally meet and been able to network with them.鈥
To celebrate the work of our students and graduates we鈥檝e created a dedicated聽Eurovision聽page. It includes quotes from our students, photos and a breakdown of each course's involvement. You read more聽here.
